First heard Scott on With Scott's Band in Tokyo.
Blue Lester turned me into a fan. Sublime tenor, saw him live at a golf club in Oxfordshire.

After playing blues harmonica, singing jazz and blues for many years (studied with Barry Harris 1980-1983) I've taken up tenor and alto - studying with the excellent Bruce Swaim in Maryland. Listening again to your playing - which I heard in NYC in the 1980s. Somehow, in my 60s I'm going to get good enough to be presentable on stage for blues and material on that cusp between blues and jazz. Please to www.HarmonicaBluXpress.com/music.htm to check out some of my tunes and diatonic harmonica playing. I will be looking for some material of yours to listen to and study.
Blu.

Hi, Scott!
You - the great player. I know that you play on Selmer SBA. SBA is your favourite forge. Not М6, not BA, namely SBA. Tell, please, why? And still: in Russia there is a club of fans SBA. What could you tell it about СБА and wish?
Thanxxx!
From Russia with love,
Trofim.

You make the trees sway, the salmon swim upstream, and have provided the inspiration through your music to allow me to return to my first love after 50 years. I'll always remember April in Toronto in the tiny venue where you blew the roof off the joint with Warren V. Thanks.

Scott I have admired your sound, technique and style for years. Love when you backed Rosemary Clooney. Can you please let me know what your set-up is on tenor sax?

Thanks!

Truly you are my favorite “living sax player” I have admired your style, expertise and mostly your sound for many years, since your album “Blowing no ill wind” I think 1978. Any way my greatest compliment ever, I studied with the great George Garzone for 5 years, on my first lesson with him he said and I quote..” You listen to a lot of Scott Hamilton huh?” I said yes I do …he said “ Great ..you have that sound down packed, you sound beautiful. Now lets get you to try some Coltarne.” Haaa! I later studied with Frank Tiberi …He said “ You listen to the masters..you like Scot Hamilton, & Phlip ?” Ive learned a great deal just by listening to you! Thank you !
