Enjoyed your show in San Francisco a few months ago. I took my son, my daughter and her hubby. Although I have several of your CD's they had heard me play, it was a first live performance by you for all of us to view. I would have brought a couple of grandsons but they were away in college. Best regards, Art Ritchie, San Francisco, Ca.

Just listened to Besame Mucho from Live in Barcelona. Knockout sound. The band sounds great too. Thanks very much. Do you ever tour in France?

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are two soon superannuated men, best friends for many years.

We love Scott Hamilton lots! Greatest sax musician! It's ”Earcandy”! "Scott Hamilton: Organic Duke" is a masterpiece!

Our greatest wish would be if we possibly could have two autographed pictures of him? Our personal assistant promised to have his pictures framed and placed on our walls in our rooms, for us to enjoy (one for my friend Bengt-Ake, one for me, Malte). We took courage to us to write you. It's not so easy since we're disabled persons. We need help with most daily things. Our lives are truly awkward.
Very humbly we wonder if this could be arranged. We would be so grateful! From the bottom of our hearts!
Both autographs may be sent to: -

Malte Aronsson,

Hoping for a soon reply, and thousand thanks in advance for your help.
Two almost discarded guys, but even so, admirers of his,

Bengt-Ake & Malte.

Scott,

Scott,

Discovered your music a few years back (actually rediscovered it, as I used to hear you play in Leo's Tap way back when in Providence) and am wondering, how will I hear when you're playing in the New York area? If there's an email list for tour info, I'd love to be on it. I might even try to catch you in Europe on a trip there if I knew where and when you're playing. Thanks.

Hi Scott - I wanted to let you know that one of your early mentors, Pete Peligian, passed away in Providence, RI on May 18. As you know, he was a great man as well as a great musician.

Scott - we met in Hollywood when you played in one of the local clubs. You even autographed a "cassette tape cover" for me between sets. Shows you how long ago that night was. My father (a tenor sax player himself) and I came in to hear you play. It was my best night out with my dad ever. Your sound and his are so very much a like. I can hear my dad in your phrasing and breath. He passed away many years ago but your CDs keeps him alive in my heart and mind. Thanks for all of the great memories.

Hi Scott,
Wanted you to know how much we miss the wonderful times we saw you at Christine's on the Cape. They were great times with Dave Mckenna, Gray Sargent, Marshall Woods and Artie Cabral. Donna Burns was there often, too.

I have most of your CD's and have acquired a good jazz collection over the years that I have on my IPOD for ease of use and portability; over 3000 selections.

I'm eighty five now and and grateful to you and other young artists for carrying on the jazz tradition. One other that stands out is Harry Allen.

Well, in the last few years we have lost some of the best from around the Cape; Dave Mckenna, Ruby Braff, Dick Johnson, and the great Lou Colombo.

I would give anything to see you in person again. Hopefully, you might get close to Cape Cod or Sanibel Island, fl.

Thanks again for years of giving us a lift when we neeeded one.

Scott we would love to see you in Australia. How about coming over here and playing for us soon? Melbourne has a huge Jazz Festival annually, maybe that would be a way for you to come here.

Hey Scott, met you on the Eurostar to Paris yesterday where we had a long conversation that culminated in showing off each other cats... it was a pleasure talking to you and as much as I admittedly don't know your music (yet) I will be sure to come hear you play when you're next in London!
Have a great time performing in Paris Carolina

Dear Scott (if I may)

I and my wife were just sitting in my hot tub and listening (as usual) to Scott Hamilton w/Strings. I am so very appreciative of your playing. You seem to be the perfect blend of intellect and emotion. My dad was a jazz drummer and a huge fan of Ben Webster and played his and Hawk's recordings all the time. I hear Ben and Hawk in your playing but I also recognize your very pronounced personal sound.

I'm a great believer that as players grow fully into their personal identity their playing expresses who they are. I often tell my wife as we listen to you that I'm convinced you are bright, sensitive, passionate, understated interpersonally but feel very deeply. You are empathetic but in an understated way. You are sentimental but not mushy. You are a bit shy but socially comfortable. You wear very well, Scott, and have given us a great deal of pleasure.

One of my mentors when I was a young drummer was Jake Hanna and he spoke lovingly of your playing. I admire your artfulness and understated, relaxed approach to expressing yourself. Thank you, Scott. You have enriched my life.

Ron
